2020 has been a brutal year- that’s the least we can say. People are stressed, annoyed, and tired because of an unseen enemy that seems impossible to destroy.

Cooped up within homes, away from friends and family, the light at the end of the tunnel has shown up in the form of a vaccine that promises respite from a deadly pathogen.

Disneyland Superfans in Agony

Quarantine life has been quite hard for Disneyland lovers in particular. Most people view Disneyland as an easy getaway for the day, a mode of releasing stress and getting lost in the world of fiction and fantasy. If one is in the mood to escape life pressures, albeit temporary, Disneyland offers that much-needed feeling of freedom.

We all could’ve used a good dose of some theme park fun. Unfortunately, the no-go factor was a biggie for such an operation that invited guests by the hundreds, if not thousands. However, Disneyland superfans will be glad to hear that the Walt Disney Company is looking to help the city’s residents- hopefully edging towards re-opening sooner, rather than later.

If you’re in California and are looking to get vaccinated, head on over to Disneyland! Now there’s a sentence we never thought we’d be piecing together.

During a conference that took place last Wednesday, the acting chairman of the County Board of Supervisors, Andrew Do, explained that more than 7,000 people would get the chance to be vaccinated through the site daily! This Monday, around 10,000 people have already signed up to get their vaccination done at the venue.

Orange county is populated with an estimated count of 3.1 million people, out of which around 200,000 people have fallen victim to the deathly coronavirus since the beginning of the pandemic. According to the data of the county, the COVID-19 surge has caused more than 2,100 deaths.

More than 2000 people are on hospital beds, fighting against the virus, and a good number of people are even in ICUs. These numbers keep increasing each passing day. Taking this into notice, California officials have taken matters seriously and announced that the vaccine eligibility would be increasing for everybody over the age of 65.

The supervisor of the county, Donald P. Wagner, stated earlier this week that the importance of getting as many people vaccinated as quickly as possible is self-explanatory. To be able to do so, institutions require a whole lot of space. He further continued the statement by thanking the city of Anaheim and Disneyland Resort for their actions in the shared effort of protecting the people of Orange County against coronavirus.
